Boland received the <a href=\"https:\/\/servicetoamericamedals.org\/honorees\/amira-choueiki-boland\/\"><b>2024 Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Award<\/b><\/a> for Management Excellence, the premier awards program recognizing federal civil servants, for her work pioneering policies of the United States to improve customer experience and public service delivery. She was the chief architect of President Biden&#x27;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2021\/12\/16\/2021-27380\/transforming-federal-customer-experience-and-service-delivery-to-rebuild-trust-in-government\">Executive Order on Customer Experience<\/a>, and established the team responsible for driving Federal CX efforts,\u00a0including designing a cross-agency \u201cLife Experience\u201d framework that has been built upon by other\u00a0OECD countries. Her team was also responsible for coordinating OMB\u2019s work implementing the first Executive Order of the Biden-Harris Administration, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-advancing-racial-equity-and-support-for-underserved-communities-through-the-federal-government\/\">Executive Order 13985<\/a>, on <i>Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government<\/i>, and subsequent Executive Order on <i>Further Advancing Equity<\/i>.<\/p><p data-block-key=\"49maf\">Boland joined the federal government in 2015 as a founding member of the White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team (SBST). She left the private sector where she\u2019d been working with financial institutions and insurance companies on products based on individuals\u2019 spending, saving, and risk-taking behavior and with other public institutions on forming innovative delivery teams at the center of government. Following the Obama Administration, Boland worked to institutionalize SBST as the Deputy Director of the\u00a0Office of Evaluation Sciences at the General Services Administration, a team that works across government to build the capacity of civil servants to embed evaluations, and randomized controlled trials whenever possible, into their program delivery.\u00a0<\/p><p data-block-key=\"daf01\">Boland is an affiliate faculty member at Georgetown University&#x27;s McCourt School of Public Policy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mccourt.georgetown.edu\/better-government-lab\/\">Better\u00a0Government Lab<\/a>, a proud mom of two, and a ramblin\u2019 wreck from Georgia Tech.<\/p>","":null,"drop_cap":false,"anchor_id":""}},{"acf_fc_layout":"layout_add_component","_acfe_flexible_toggle":null},{"acf_fc_layout":"layout_taxonomies","_acfe_flexible_toggle":null,"component_taxonomies":{"":null,"anchor_id":""}},{"acf_fc_layout":"layout_person_latest","_acfe_flexible_toggle":null,"component_person_latest":{"":null,"anchor_id":""}}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.1 (Yoast SEO v27.1.1) -
